Westborough is a growing suburban town that sits at the crossroads of Routes 9 and 495. It draws a mix of long-time residents and newer families, many of them commuting to tech and biotech jobs along the Route 9 corridor. The town has a genuine small-town feel around the historic downtown common, but the surrounding office parks and newer residential developments tell a different story. That mix of pressure, pace, and isolation is something we hear about from clients regularly. High-functioning doesn't mean low-stress, and a lot of people from this area come to us after months of quietly struggling.
Westborough winters are cold and gray, running from late November well into March. That kind of seasonal stretch takes a real toll on mood and motivation, especially for anyone already managing depression, anxiety, or a substance use pattern. Summers bring relief, but the shift back to school schedules and shorter days hits hard for a lot of people each fall. We work with clients year-round, and we understand how the seasons in Central Massachusetts shape what someone is dealing with when they first reach out to us.
