What Individual Counseling Looks Like at Nulife
Individual counseling here is a private, one-on-one session between you and your assigned counselor. No group settings, no distractions. You talk, your counselor listens and responds with clinical tools that actually fit what you're facing. Sessions typically run 45 to 50 minutes.
The counseling approach we use depends on what's going on with you. Cognitive behavioral techniques, trauma-focused methods, motivational work, or just structured talk therapy when that's what fits best. The point is the session works for your situation, not a syllabus.
Counseling for Anxiety, Depression, and Trauma
These three show up more than anything else in our intake assessments. Anxiety that won't quiet down. Depression that's been around long enough you've started calling it your personality. Trauma that surfaces in ways you didn't connect to the original event. Our licensed counselors have direct experience with all three.
If you're dealing with a dual diagnosis, meaning a mental health condition alongside substance use, our counseling program connects directly to our addiction treatment services so both sides get addressed together. That integrated approach is what sets outpatient programs like ours apart from seeing a standalone therapist.
