Grafton sits along Route 30 and stretches across a mix of wooded residential streets, open farmland, and older mill-era neighborhoods near the Blackstone River corridor. North Grafton, centered around the MBTA commuter rail stop, draws working adults who commute into Boston or Worcester daily. Grafton Center holds the town common and a more historic, walkable feel.
The surrounding landscape is beautiful, but the winters here are no joke. Cold, gray stretches from November through March can hit people hard, and the isolation that comes with rural New England winters tends to make anxiety and depression worse for a lot of folks.
